Canberra Girls Grammar School Aquatic Centre

In May 2017 work commenced on the 2000m², two- level aquatic facility at Yarralumla Bay on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin. The lower floor houses the School’s rowing fleet and a STEM workshop, whilst the upper floor has multi-purpose rooms and a café.

To open the facility in January 2018 was a major challenge but what was expected to be a ten-month project was completed in just seven months. This is despite delays caused by a significant acclimatisation period for a specific cut of Spotted Gum hardwood used in the project.
